8-6-1-9: UNATTENDED CHILD IN MOTOR VEHICLE:

It shall be unlawful for any person to cause, permit, or allow any child under the age of eight (8) years to be left unattended in a motor vehicle. For purposes of this Section, "unattended" shall mean either (i) not accompanied by a person twelve (12) years of age or older, or (ii) if accompanied by a person twelve (12) years of age or older, out of the sight of that person.
