2-4-3: RULES, ORGANIZATION OF THE BOARD:
   The Board of Fire and Police Commissioners shall make such rules to carry out the purpose of this Chapter, shall make such appointments and removals, and shall have such other and further powers as are provided by Statute.
   The Board of Fire and Police Commissioners may employ a secretary or may designate one of its own members to act as secretary. The secretary shall keep the minutes of the Board's proceedings, shall be custodian of all papers pertaining to the business of the Board, shall keep a record of all examinations held, and shall perform such other duties as the Board shall prescribe. The secretary may be paid a reasonable compensation for services, to be fixed by the Board of Trustees. (Ord. 484, 4-24-72)
