8-6-9-3: EXCEPTIONS:

Any person who has been authorized by the Department of Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities, with the approval of the Department of Law Enforcement, to possess and deliver substances containing cannabis; or

Persons registered under Federal law to conduct research with cannabis; or

Persons in possession of cannabis in compliance with the Cannabis Regulation and Tax Act, 410 ILCS 705/1, et seq., or the Compassionate Use of Medical Cannabis Program Act, 410 ILCS 130/1, et seq. (Amd. Ord. 5484, 3-2-20)
