For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
DEADLY WEAPON. A loaded or unloaded firearm (as defined in I.C. 35-47-1-5), or a weapon, device, taser (as defined in I.C. 35-47-8-3), electronic stun weapon (as defined in I.C. 35-47-8-1), or stun gun (as defined in I.C. 35-47-8-2), equipment, including knives, chemical substance or other material that, in the manner it is used, or could ordinary be used, or is intended to be used, is readily capable of causing serious bodily injury.
LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER and FEDERAL ENFORCEMENT OFFICER. Have the same meaning as set forth in I.C. 35-31.5-2-185.
POSSESSION. On or about a person’s body or clothing, or in any of the following carried by the person or under that person’s direct and immediate control:
(1) Purse;
(2) Backpack;
(3) Cooler;
(4) Sack;
(5) Carrier; or
(6) Other container.
