(A) The following intersections are designated as multi-stop intersections which may be a four-way stop, a three-way stop or an all-way stop.
(B) When appropriate signs conforming to the requirements of this Traffic Code are erected at the entrance to the intersections, the operator of a motor vehicle entering any of the streets shall bring the motor vehicle to a full and complete stop before entering the intersection, except when directed by a police officer to do otherwise.
