§ 150.187 TIME LIMITS.
   (A)   All permits will have a specific time limit for completion and approval, based on the following schedule. Failure to complete the work end receive approval will cause the forfeiture of all fees and bond money to the village. Completion of the work will require a new permit to be approved.
      (1)   Fences, pools, patios, private sidewalks, and other similar structures are allowed three months.
      (2)   Decks, sheds, garages, interior alterations and similar structures are allowed six months.
      (3)   Room additions and all primary structures are allowed one year.
   (B)   Extensions may be granted by the Building Commissioner, when significant progress has been observed. Extensions may not exceed the original time limit permitted. Refer to the Orland Hills Building Permit Fee Schedule for the charge of an extension.
