(A) That every room (excluding closets) of every structure shall have at least one light switch controlling a light fixture or outlet in that room.
(B) Every room (excluding closets) or hallway of every primary residential structure shall be equipped with a light switch.
(C) When a room or hallway has more than one entrance each entry shall be equipped with a wall switch. All switches for any particular room will control the same outlet or fixtures three-way or four-way switches will be required.
(D) Where lamps are customarily used, control of an electrical wall outlet is permitted. All other rooms and hallways must be constructed with a permanent wall or ceiling fixture.
(E) All switches must be located within 18 inches (18") of the handle side of the door. Where no door exists the switch may be located on either side of the jamb but no further than 18 inches (18"), from the jamb.
(F) All switches must be located between 48 and 52 inches above the finished floor level.
