Any person who intentionally or knowingly, without legal justification and by any means, causes bodily harm or makes physical contact in a provoking or insulting nature, with an individual, as defined in ILCS Ch. 720, Act 5, § 12-3 and adopted and incorporated fully herein by reference, commits a battery and shall be in violation of this section.
