§ 31.027 EXECUTIVE DUTIES; COMPENSATION.
   (A)   The President of the Board of Trustees shall perform the duties and exercise the powers conferred upon the mayor of a city.
   (B)   The President shall devote such time to the duties of his office as the faithful discharge thereof may require. Beginning May 1, 1989, the President shall receive $150 for every regular, or special meeting attended; salary may be received for two unattended meetings, per annum.
   (C)   The President of the Board of Trustees may exercise the same veto powers, and with like effect, as the mayor of a city; and the Board of Trustees may pass ordinances over such veto in like manner as a city council.
