(A) It is the village's policy to cover costs for job-related seminars, training programs, and academic courses which have been approved by the department head and the Village Administrator. The employee will also be paid his/her normal salary during the time he/she spends at approved seminars or training programs.
(B) For approved academic courses, an employee will be reimbursed for tuition and fees at the conclusion of the course, but only if he/she has received a grade of C or better. The employee will not be compensated for his /her time, or for books and materials purchased for the class. No employee may receive in excess of $500 per calendar year in tuition and fees reimbursement.
