§ 35.042 OVERTIME AND COMPENSATORY TIME.
   (A)   Overtime shall only consist of authorized work in excess of 40 hours in a work week for all employees except full-time police officers.
   (B)   All overtime must be authorized in advance by the department head. Overtime hours will be assigned as equitably as practical.
   (C)   Non-supervisory (hourly) employees shall be compensated at a rate of 1½ times their regular rate of compensation for authorized work in excess of 40 hours per week, and only after 40 hours are completed.
   (D)   Sick days are not considered hours worked.
   (E)   Non-supervisory (hourly) employees called in to work on a village-approved holiday shall be compensated at 1½ times the rate of pay in addition to the regular holiday rate of pay for hours worked, except if the employee fails to work or takes a sick day before or the day after the holiday. In that case, the employee will not receive 1½ times the rate of pay until the employee has worked in excess of 40 hours for that work week.
   (F)   Employees called out for emergency overtime work on Saturday and Sunday shall be compensated on the basis of 1½times the employee's base pay.
   (G)   Department heads shall not be eligible for overtime compensation; however, the Village Administrator, at his discretion, may grant compensatory time off as he deems advisable due to long hours worked from time to time by such employees.
   (H)   The Office Supervisor shall be compensated at 1½ times the regular rate of pay for authorized hours worked in excess of 40 hours per week, unless otherwise stipulated in an employment agreement.
   (I)   In lieu of overtime pay, employees may elect to accumulate compensatory time up to a maximum of 200 hours.
