The hiring of all regular full-time and part-time employees (except for the Chief of Police, Police Administrator, Village Administrator, Director of Public Works, Recreation Director, Assistant Director of Public Works, and Building Commissioner) shall be made by the Village Administrator, with the advice and consent of a majority vote of the Board of Trustees then holding office. It is the policy of the village to hire employees on the basis of merit, without regard to the applicant's race, color, sex, marital status, age, national origin, religion or disability. The selection of Chief of Police, Police Administrator, Village Administrator, Director of Public Works, Recreation Director, Assistant Director of Public Works and Building Commissioner shall be according to state statute and other village ordinances.
