For the purposes of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
BUILDING OFFICIAL. The person designated by the village as being responsible for the enforcement of this chapter.
DWELLING UNIT. A dwelling or the part of a rental dwelling that is used as a home, residence or sleeping place by one or more persons who maintain a household, together with the common areas, land and appurtenant buildings thereto, and all housing services, privileges, furnishings and facilities supplied in connection with use or occupancy thereof, including garage and parking facilities.
MANAGER. The person managing a rental dwelling on behalf of the owner.
OWNER. One or more persons, corporations, partnerships, limited liability company or any other entity jointly or severally, in whom is vested all or part of the legal title to a rental dwelling, or all or part of the beneficial ownership and a right to present use and enjoyment of a rental dwelling.
PERSON. An individual, corporation, government, governmental subdivision or agency, business trust, estate, trust, partnership or association or any other legal or commercial entity.
RENTAL DWELLING. A means a building containing one to ten dwelling units.
