ORDINANCE 97-01

   AN ORDINANCE ENACTING AND ADOPTING A SUPPLEMENT TO THE CODE OF ORDINANCES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ORLAND HILLS, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS

   WHEREAS, American Legal Publishing Corporation of Cincinnati, Ohio has completed the “1996 S-3” supplement to the Code of Ordinances of the Village of Orland Hills, which supplement contains all ordinances of a general and permanent nature enacted since the prior supplement to the Code of Ordinances of this Political Subdivision; and

   WHEREAS, American Legal Publishing Corporation has recommended the revision or addition of certain sections of the Code of Ordinances which are based on or make references to sections of the Illinois code; and

   WHEREAS, it is the intent of the President and Board of Trustees to accept these updated sections in accordance with the applicable changes of the laws of the State of Illinois; and

   WHEREAS, it is necessary to provide for the usual daily operation of the Village and for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and general welfare of the Village that this ordinance take effect at an early date.

   NOW THEREFORE be it ordained by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Orland Hills, Cook County, Illinois as follows:

   SECTION 1: That the “1996 S-3” supplement to the Code of Ordinances of the Village of Orland Hills as submitted by American Legal Publishing Corporation of Cincinnati, Ohio, and as attached hereto as Exhibit “A” and incorporated herein by reference, be and the same is hereby adopted by reference as if set forth herein in its entirety.

   SECTION 2: All ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.

   SECTION 3: If any section, paragraph, clause or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid, the invalidity there of shall not effect any of the other provisions of this ordinance.

   SECTION 4: All ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.

   SECTION 5: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
