Unobstructed walk areas not less than 36 inches wide shall be provided to extend entirely around the pool. The walk area shall be constructed of impervious material, and the surfaces shall be smooth and easily cleaned and of nonslip construction. The slope of the walls shall have a pitch of at least ¼ inch to the foot, designed so as to prevent back drainage from entering the pool. A foot rinse unit or hose shall be available for cleaning the feet before entrance onto pool walks.
