For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
PRIVATE POOL. Any swimming pool or wading pool over two feet in depth at a private residence intended only for the use of the individual owner, his family, or friends. This is to include portable or temporary type pools of plastic, rubberized cloth, or similar materials installed or placed above ground elevation.
PUBLIC POOL. All swimming and wading pools other than private residence pools. This is to include park district, association, club, and school pools, as well as those for the use at apartment houses, condominiums, motels, and hotels.
SWIMMING POOL. Any artificial basin of water exceeding two feet in depth improved, modified, constructed, or installed for the purpose of swimming or wading.
TEMPORARY POOL. A private pool above ground level that is removable when not in use.
