175.28 COLLEGE CREDIT PAYMENTS.
    (a)    Each full-time employee of the City who has earned credit hours in a regular college, community college or junior college shall be paid thirty dollars ($30.00) per credit hour when working toward an associate degree; forty dollars ($40.00) per credit hour when working toward a bachelor's degree; and fifty dollars ($50.00) per credit hour when working toward a master's degree. The employee shall receive a passing grade of "C" or higher. All courses shall be related directly or indirectly to the employee's employment with the City; all courses shall receive prior approval of the Mayor and Safety-Service Director.

   (b)    Applications for receipt of the gratuity in subsection (a) hereof shall be made on a form acceptable to the Finance Director with a copy of the transcript attached from the college or junior college conferring the credit course.
