(a) Any regular employee of the City who is required to serve on the jury in any court of record shall be paid his regular rate of pay during such period. The employee shall remit to the Finance Director whatever sum is paid to the employee as compensation by the court for his service as a juror.
(b) In order for an employee to receive pay under this section, he must secure a certificate from the Clerk of Court in which he served evidencing the fact of his having been required to serve. An employee discharged from jury duty before noon should report back to his assigned duty.
