The work week and hours of employment for all regular full-time employees shall be as follows:
(a) Officers and patrolmen: forty hours per week.
(b) All other employees: eight hours per day, five days per week Monday through Friday, except for employees, other than supervisory employees, whose jobs specifically require work on the sixth and/or seventh day of the week. Their hours of work for the week preceding or following such work shall be adjusted accordingly.
