173.01 BONDS FOR OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES.

   (a)    The officers and employees of the City specified in this section shall each furnish bond for the faithful performance and discharge of their respective duties, conditioned according to law, in the amount hereinafter set forth:

   (b)    The Mayor and Director of Finance are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract to purchase and furnish blanket performance bonds for the following officers:

   Mayor

   Director of Finance

   Chief of Police

   Lieutenant and sergeant of police, each

   Patrol officer, each

   Telephone and radio operator, Public Safety and Service Departments, each

   Superintendent of Cemeteries

   Commissioner of Building and Zoning Inspection

   Secretaries and inspectors, Division of Inspection, each

   Receptionist - Tax Clerk

   Secretary to Budget Director

   Director of Public Safety

   Director of Public Service

and such other officers and employees as may be required and authorized from time to time by Council.
