The Division of Cemeteries, under the direction of the Director of Public Service, shall have charge of and be responsible for:
(a) The operation, care, maintenance, development, layout and use of cemeteries and lands owned or acquired by the City for cemetery purposes;
(b) The layout, construction, reconstruction, repair, maintenance of roads, paths, walks and structures thereon or therein;
(c) Supervision and inspection of the erection of monuments, headstones, grave markers and other structures thereon or therein;
(d) The operation, service, inspection, maintenance and repair of vehicles, machinery and equipment used by or assigned to the Division and the purchase of cemetery equipment;
(e) Arrangements for and burial or disinterment of bodies; formulation and enforcement of cemetery rules and regulations;
(f) Maintenance of plats, maps, burial and other cemetery records;
(g) The sale of lots and collection of proceeds of lot sales, charges for burials and other cemetery services and accounting therefor.
