Any person, individual or corporation violating any provision of this Part Fifteen Fire Prevention Code or failing, refusing or neglecting to comply with any order issued pursuant to any provision of this Code, for which no penalty is otherwise provided, shall be fined not more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) and in addition thereto not more than one hundred dollars ($100.00) for each day such violationis permitted to exist.
In addition to the foregoing penalties, in case of fire resulting directly or indirectly from any violation of this Part Fifteen - Fire Prevention Code or any other ordinance of the City, or any omission or neglect to properly comply with a lawful written order of the Chief issued pursuant to Section 1501.07, the person or persons responsible for the violation thereof shall be liable to the City in a civil action for all cost and expense of the Fire Division incurred in the extinguishment of any such fire or response to an alarm by reason thereof, including expense of employees and the use of equipment, apparatus and materials, such cost and expense to be computed and fixed by the Mayor or his designee.
