The Bureau, under the direction of the Chief, shall keep a record of all fires and of the facts and circumstances concerning the same, including statistics as to the cause, nature and extent of such fires, the damage caused thereby and whether or not loss or damage thereby is covered by insurance and the amount so covered. Such records shall be made daily and shall be open to public inspection.
