(a) Any person convicted of a criminal offense pursuant to the Codified Ordinances in the Oregon Municipal Court, other than a minor misdemeanor, and who, as a consequence of such conviction, is confined in a County Jail, Correction Center, Workhouse, Multi-County-Municipal Correction Center or other correctional facility, as provided in Ohio R.C. 1905.35 and 307.93, shall reimburse the City for its expenses incurred by reason of such confinement, including, but not limited to, the expenses relating to the provision of food, clothing, shelter and health care costs.
(b) The amount of the reimbursement required to be made by the inmate shall be determined by the Oregon Municipal Court at a hearing pursuant to Ohio R.C. 2929.15.
(c) The Law Director is hereby authorized to institute an appropriate civil action in the name of the City, in the Court of Common Pleas of the County in which the Jail, Correctional Center or Workhouse is located, to recover from the inmate the reimbursement for the expenses of his confinement as determined by the Oregon Municipal Court.
