381.15 FIRE SIGNAL.
   In the event of a fire occurring on board any boat in a waterway within the City, except boats underway, or on the pier or wharf to which such boat is moored, such boat may sound five prolonged blasts on the horn or siren as an alarm indicating such fire. Such signal may be repeated at intervals to attract attention and shall not be used for any other purpose in any waterway within the City. Such signal shall not be used as a substitute for, but may be used in addition to, other means of reporting a fire. The words "prolonged blast" used in this section means a blast of from four to six seconds duration.
