The following structures shall be exempt from the requirements of this subchapter:
(A) Any building or site with 24-hour, seven-day a week on-site staff or guard service shall not be required to provide a lockbox; and
(B) Any building for which the owner(s) and occupant(s) thereof file a written application with the Fire Chief, requesting that the building be exempt, and acknowledging that the Fire and/or Police Departments may use force to enter the building, thereby potentially causing damage to the building, in order to respond to an emergency and/or carry out the duties of the Fire and/or Police Departments.
