§ 72.04 WRECKED OR DISCARDED VEHICLES; DISPOSITION.
No person in charge of or control of any property within the village, whether as owner, tenant, occupant, lessee or otherwise, shall allow any partially dismantled, non-operating, wrecked, junked or discarded vehicle to remain on such property longer than 30 days; and no person shall leave any such vehicle on any property within the village for longer than 30 days; except that, this chapter shall not apply with regard to a vehicle in an enclosed building or completely surrounded by a solid fence of permanent construction and maintained in such a manner as to prevent the enclosed vehicle from being observed from the outside, or a vehicle on the premises of a business enterprise operated in a lawful place and manner, when necessary to the operation of such business enterprise, providing the business enterprise is operating under proper zoning; and, further, providing that, said vehicle does not remain in such place for such time and in such manner as to become a nuisance; or a vehicle in an appropriate storage place or depository maintained in a lawful manner and place by the village. For purposes of this section, NECESSARY TO THE OPERATION OF SUCH BUSINESS ENTERPRISE means that the vehicle is being repaired, properly dismantled for complete disposition or awaiting parts to be repaired, but does not mean that said vehicle is being used as a temporary or permanent storage facility.
