Nothing in this chapter shall be construed to prohibit the erection of a temporary building to be used exclusively for the purpose of housing tools and materials to be used in the construction of a main use building on the lot or parcel of land on which such temporary building is erected if a permit for the erection of such main use building has been obtained, unless such temporary building is allowed to remain on such lot or parcel of land for longer than six months.
