(a) Applicants for a contractor's license shall make application at the office of the Building Commissioner on forms prescribed by him or her. Each application for a license shall contain the name of the person applying and the location of his or her place of business, shall indicate whether such applicant is duly authorized to act for such firm, copartnership, corporation, association or any combination thereof, and shall also contain such further information as the Building Commissioner prescribes.
(b) Such license shall be granted if the Building Commissioner finds that the applicant is qualified to perform the work for which such application is submitted. Evidence that the applicant is currently licensed by any other city or county with a qualified examination shall be sufficient evidence of qualification to authorize the issuance of a license.
