1323.06 FIRE SAFETY INSPECTIONS; NOTICE OF DEFECTIVE OR DANGEROUS CONDITIONS.
   (a)   When, in the opinion of the Building Commissioner, a heating or illuminating apparatus, chimney, flue or pipe, or an accumulation of shavings, rubbish or other material, in any building or on any premises in the Village, is dangerous or likely to cause or promote fires or explosions, it shall be his or her duty to enter such building or premises and examine the same.
   (b)   Upon finding any of the items enumerated in this section to be defective or in a dangerous condition, or being constructed in violation of this Building Code, the Building Commissioner shall report to the Chief of Police, who shall thereupon cause to be delivered to the owner, lessee or occupant of such building or premises written or printed instructions to remove or remedy such condition in such a manner and within such reasonable time as may be necessary.
