The Building Commissioner shall be appointed by the Mayor for a term coincident with the term of the Mayor and shall serve until his or her successor has been duly appointed and qualified. Such appointment shall be subject to confirmation by Council. The Building Commissioner shall be subject to removal by the Mayor for cause. The removal, however, shall also be subject to confirmation by Council.
