There is hereby established in and for the Village the position of Building Commissioner. The Building Commissioner shall execute the powers and perform the duties provided for in this Building Code and, in addition thereto, such further powers and duties as may from time to time be provided by ordinance. The Building Commissioner is the Chief “Building Official” with authority to enforce the Ohio Building Code and the Ohio Residential Building Code. Where a state building code calls for the Chief “Building Official” to exercise enforcement authority, such provisions shall be construed to vest enforcement authority in the Building Commissioner of Orange Village.
