(a) Emergency medical services shall be provided by the Village Fire Department on a fee basis in response to any call for such service. (Ord. 2005-13. Passed 8-10-05.)
(b) The charge or fee to be paid shall be the same for both residents and nonresidents of the Village as follows (classification of service shall be determined by the Orange Village Fire Department):
(1) Basic Life Support $850.00
(2) Advanced Life Support (1) $1,000.00
(3) Advanced Life Support (2) $1,200.00
Additionally, a mileage charge of sixteen dollars ($16.00) per mile traveled outside of the municipal corporation limits shall be levied for the transportation of a patient to a medical facility.

(c) All billings for the above charges or fees shall be made by the Treasurer of the Village and all moneys collected through such billings shall be paid into the General Fund of the Village.
(d) The Treasurer shall use best efforts to collect any insurance, Medicare or Medicaid co-payments or deductibles from any individual receiving emergency medical services who is not a resident or an income taxpayer of the Village.
(e) The Treasurer shall not attempt to collect any insurance co-payment or deductible, Medicare or Medicaid co-payment or deductible from any individual receiving emergency medical services who is a resident of the Village or pays income taxes to the Village and such co-payment or deductible shall be deemed paid by the local taxes paid by such Village resident or income taxpayer.
