509.10 MINOR’S CURFEW.
   (a)   No minor who is under twelve years of age shall be upon any public place or upon any private property, without the owner’s consent, between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. of the next day. No minor who is from twelve years of age through and including fifteen years of age shall be upon any public place or upon any private property, without the owner’s consent, between 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. of the next day. No minor who is sixteen or seventeen years of age shall be upon any public place or upon any private property, without the owner’s consent, between 12:00 midnight and 6:00 a.m. of the next day. A minor in any of the aforesaid age brackets who is accompanied by a parent, guardian or other responsible person over twenty-one years of age, or by a member of his or her family who is eighteen years of age or older, or who has the permission of the property owner or his or her agent, eighteen years of age or older, during the periods set forth above, shall not be deemed to be in violation of this subsection.
   (b)   No parent, guardian or other person responsible for the care and well being of any minor shall allow such minor to violate any provision of subsection (a) hereof.
   (c)   Any school, church, lodge or other organization which wishes to hold any entertainment for minors under eighteen years of age, which entertainment requires such minors to be out at a later hour than specified in subsection (a) hereof, shall make application either to the Mayor or to the Chief of Police for permission to have the minors stay out to such later hour. The application shall state the approximate time the entertainment will end, and the minors who attend this function shall be required to be off the public streets one-half hour after the function is ended. Minors delivering newspapers are exempt from the provisions of this section.
   (d)   Any minor found in violation of this section shall be taken to the Village Hall and the parent, guardian or person in loco parentis shall be notified to come to the Village Hall and take personal charge of such minor. The minor shall be released only to such parent, guardian or person in loco parentis or to the juvenile authorities.
   (e)   Whoever violates any of the provisions of this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree for a first offense and a misdemeanor of the third degree for any subsequent offense.
