(a) No person shall transport or drive a commercial motor vehicle as defined in Section 341.01 or a vehicle as defined in Section 301.51, or any combination thereof, when the body weight or combined body and load weight of such commercial motor vehicle and/or vehicle exceeds 4,000 pounds (two tons) upon any of the following public roadways within the Village:
Brainard Road
Emery Road
Harvard Road (east to Orange Place/Pine Crest)
Jackson Road
Lander Road
Orangewood Drive
Pike Drive
Pine Crest Drive
Walnut Hills Road
The Chief of Police shall cause the aforesaid streets to be clearly sign-posted to give notice that this section is in effect.

(b) Exceptions. This section shall not prohibit:
(1) Operation on street of destination. The operation of commercial motor vehicles and/or vehicles, or any combination thereof, upon any street while receiving goods or making deliveries along such street, but then only by entering and leaving by the nearest intersecting street.
(2) Emergency vehicles. The operation of an emergency vehicle as defined in Section 301.11 upon any street in the Village.
(3) Public utilities. The operation of vehicles owned or operated by the Village, public utilities, any contractor or materialman while engaged in the repair, maintenance or construction of streets, street improvements or street utilities within the Village.
(4) Detoured trucks. The operation of commercial motor vehicles and/or vehicles, or any combination thereof, upon any officially established detour in any case where such vehicles could lawfully be operated upon the street for which the detour is established.
