331.37 DRIVING UPON SIDEWALKS, RECREATIONAL TRAILS, STREET LAWNS OR CURBS.
   (a)   No person shall drive any vehicle, other than a bicycle, upon a sidewalk, sidewalk area or recreational trail except upon a permanent or duly authorized temporary driveway. The Chief of Police shall post signs giving notice that no vehicles other than bicycles are permitted to be driven on the Village's recreational trails. Emergency services vehicles and vehicles used to provide municipal or public utility services shall be exempted from this prohibition.
   (b)    No person shall drive a vehicle, other than a lawnmower, on a street lawn area or the curb of a street, except upon a permanent or duly authorized temporary driveway or when otherwise lawfully authorized.
   (c)    If the offender commits the offense while distracted and the distracting activity is a contributing factor to the commission of the offense, the offender is subject to the additional fine established under Section 303.991 of the Traffic Code. (Ord. 2019-21. Passed 8-7-19.)
