155.08 ALCOHOL MISUSE AND CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE USE INFORMATION, TRAINING AND REFERRAL.
   (a)   The Village shall provide educational materials that explain the requirements of the Rules and the Village's policies and procedures with respect to meeting these requirements. The Village shall ensure that a copy of these materials is distributed to each covered employee prior to the start of testing, and to each employee subsequently hired or transferred into a position covered by the policy.
   (b)   The materials supplied to employees may also include information on additional Village policies with respect to the use or possession of alcohol or controlled substances, including any consequences for a covered employee found to have a specified alcohol or controlled substance level, that are based on the Village's authority independent of the Rules. Any such additional policies or consequences must be clearly and obviously described as being based on independent authority.
   (c)   Each covered employee shall be required to sign a statement certifying that he/she has received a copy of the Village's policy/procedure. The Village shall maintain the original signed certificate and may provide a copy to the employee.
