(a) (1) The Chief of Police and Police Lieutenants shall receive an annual uniform allowance and maintenance fee in the amount of one thousand two hundred dollars ($1,200).
(2) The Police Department Secretary shall receive an annual uniform allowance and maintenance fee in the amount of six hundred dollars ($600.00).
(3) Part-time officers for the Police Department shall receive an annual uniform allowance and maintenance fee of up to six hundred dollars ($600.00). The amount of the allowance shall be at the discretion of the Chief of Police and shall be based upon the number of hours worked by the part-time officer.
(4) One-half (½) of the uniform allowance shall be paid in January and one-half (½) of the uniform allowance shall be paid in July and at those times, the Chief of Police shall determine the amount of the uniform allowance to be paid to part-time officers.

(b) Full-time employees in the Service Department shall be provided with an annual shoe allowance of two hundred dollars ($200.00) to be paid during the first quarter of the calendar year. The shoe allowance shall be for the sole purpose of purchasing approved safety shoes and employees are required to wear them during working hours.
