The Police Department shall consist of the following staff:
(a) 1 Chief of Police;
(b) Up to three (3) Lieutenants, one of whom may be an Executive Lieutenant and both of whom will be over-time exempt and not subject to the Collective Bargaining Agreement between Orange Village and the Fraternal Order of Police;
(c) Up to five (5) Sergeants, provided that the total number of Sergeants and Lieutenants shall not exceed seven (7) at any time;
(d) As many full-time patrol officers as are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by Council, provided that the total number of full-time sworn police officers in the department does not exceed twenty-five (25);
(e) A police department secretary, who may also serve as a part-time patrol officer;
(f) A part-time patrol officer who shall have the title “IT/Security Officer” and receive a salary that is established by the Mayor, within a range that is set, from time to time by Council. The IT/Security Officer shall perform such duties as are assigned to him by the Chief of Police and the Mayor; and
(g) A part-time investigator/administrative who shall have the title “Police Investigator” and receive a salary that is established by the Mayor within a range that is set, from time to time, by Council. The Police Investigator shall perform such duties as are assigned by the Chief of Police or the Mayor.
(h) Up to seven (7) additional part-time patrol officers.
