125.05 LAW ENFORCEMENT TRUST FUND.
   (a)   There is hereby created a Fund to be known as the Law Enforcement Trust Fund. All funds collected or received as proceeds from the sale at public auction as forfeited monies received pursuant to Ohio R.C. 2933.43 and 2925.44 shall be paid into the Law Enforcement Trust Fund. The Treasurer shall make payment from such Fund upon the presentation of vouchers or orders by proper Village officials in accordance with law. Such disbursement shall be expended to pay the costs of protracted or complex investigations or prosecutions, to provide reasonable technical training or expertise, to provide matching funds to obtain federal grants, to aid law enforcement, or for such other law enforcement purposes which the Village Council shall determine to be appropriate. The proceeds of such Fund shall not be used to meet the operating expenses of Orange Village which are unrelated to law enforcement.

   (b)   The Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to make application to the Bureau of Inspection of the State of Ohio for approval of the creation of the Law Enforcement Trust Fund pursuant to the provisions of Ohio R.C. 5705.12.
