Council may, by ordinance, require a bond of any officer or official, elected or appointed, for the faithful performance of his or her duties. The premium of any bond so required shall be paid by the Municipality.
Any officer or official who is unable or unwilling to obtain such bond shall forfeit his or her office immediately and the vacancy shall be filled according to the provisions of this Charter.
