The Law Director shall be appointed annually by Council and may be removed by the affirmative vote of four (4) members of Council at any time during that period; provided that such removal shall not impair any contract rights which the Law Director may possess. No person shall be eligible to be appointed Law Director who is not an attorney at law, admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Ohio.
The Law Director shall prepare all contracts, bonds, and other instruments in which the Municipality is concerned; advise Council and any officer of the Municipality concerning the law in any matter before Council or said official; defend or prosecute any action on behalf of or taken against the Municipality when so requested by Council and perform all other duties required by this Charter or by ordinance or resolution of Council.
