(A) It will be the policy of the town to ensure that all full-time employees receive the same number of holidays each year. These holidays will be:
(1) New Year’s Day;
(2) Martin Luther King Jr. Day;
(3) President’s Day;
(4) Good Friday;
(5) Election Day;
(6) Memorial Day;
(7) Independence Day;
(8) Labor Day;
(9) Columbus Day;
(10) Election Day;
(11) Veterans Day;
(12) Thanksgiving Day;
(13) Friday after Thanksgiving;
(14) Christmas Eve;
(15) Christmas Day; and
(16) New Year’s Eve.
(B) Any employee absent without authorization on the day preceding and/or following a holiday will not receive regular compensation for the holiday.
