(A) The Town Council has determined that the town no longer has a need for a Park Board and that the general ordinances which established and defined the Park Board and the Park Board membership, meetings, powers, and duties should be repealed.
(B) The Town Council have determined that a need no longer exists for a Park Board.
(C) Repeal of ordinances pertaining to the Park Board:
(1) Section 5-6 entitled “Oolitic Park Board Created” is hereby repealed effective April 27, 1998;
(2) Section 5-7 entitled “Four Member Board” is hereby repealed effective April 27, 1998;
(3) Section 5-8 entitled “Ex Officio Members” is hereby repealed effective April 27, 1998;
(4) Section 5-9 entitled “Terms of Park Board Members” is hereby repealed effective April 27, 1998;
(5) Section 5-10 entitled “Powers of the Park Board” is hereby repealed effective April 27, 1998; and
(6) Section 5-11 entitled “Meetings of the Park Board” is hereby repealed effective April 27, 1998.
(D) All rights, duties, obligations, privileges, and responsibilities of the Park Board shall hereby become the rights, duties, obligations, privileges, and responsibilities of the Town Council effective April 27, 1998.
