(A) It shall hereafter be unlawful for any person or persons to hawk or peddle goods within the corporate limits of the town without first having obtained a license as herein provided.
(B) Any method of selling goods by public outcry on the streets or public places in said town; attracting persons to purchase goods exposed for sale at such places by placards or signals; going from house to house selling or offering goods for sale, or retain, to individuals not dealing in such commodities, whereby they be carried along for present delivery, or the delivery of any articles of merchandise so offered for sale, shall constitute the person so selling and delivering, or delivering such articles of merchandise, a HAWKER or PEDDLER within the meaning of this chapter. Provided, however, the provisions of this chapter shall not apply to the vendors of farm products.
