(A) Four-way stop intersection at Main Street and Hoosier Avenue.
(1) The intersection of Main Street and Hoosier Avenue in the town is designated a stop intersection and any and all vehicles shall stop at all four entrances to such stop intersection. Traffic and vehicles traveling from both the north to the south and from the south to the north on Main Street shall stop at such stop intersection. Further, traffic and vehicles traveling from the east to the west and the west to the east on Hoosier Avenue shall stop at such stop intersection.
(2) The town shall cause to be erected and shall maintain stop signs in the center of such intersections so that one of each signs faces in the direction of vehicles and traffic approaching such stop intersection. Such stop signs shall bear the word “stop” in letters of not less than eight inches in height, and such signs shall at night time be rendered luminous by efficient reflecting elements on the face of the sign.
(3) When such stop signs are erected as herein provided at the intersection of Main Street and Hoosier Avenue, every driver of a vehicle shall stop such vehicle at a clearly marked stop line painted upon the pavement before entering the intersection, except when directed to proceed by a police officer.
(4) No driver shall enter said intersection from any direction unless there is sufficient space on the other side of such intersection to accommodate the vehicle he or she is operating without obstructing the passage of other vehicles or pedestrians.

(B) Three-way stop intersection at Hall Avenue and 10th Street.
(1) The intersection of Hall Avenue and 10th Street in the town is designated a stop intersection and any and all vehicles shall stop at all three entrances to such stop intersection. Traffic and vehicles traveling from the west to the east on Hall Avenue shall stop at such stop intersection, and traffic traveling both from the north to the south and from the south to the north shall stop at such stop intersection.
(2) The town shall cause to be erected and shall maintain a stop sign on each and every street above described; same shall bear the word “stop” in letters of not less than eight inches in height. Each such sign shall be located as near as practicable at the nearest line of the crosswalk on the near side of the intersection, or if none, at the nearest line of the roadway.
(3) When stop signs are erected as herein provided at or near the entrance to such above designated intersection of 10th Street with Hall Avenue, every driver of a vehicle shall stop such vehicle at such sign or at a clearly marked stop line, if same be painted upon the pavement, before entering the intersection, except when directed to proceed by a police officer.
(4) No driver shall enter said intersection from any direction unless there is sufficient space on the other side of such intersection to accommodate the vehicle he or she is operating without obstructing the passage of other vehicles or pedestrians.
