Sec. 6-8.738. Violations and enforcement.
Nothing in this chapter limits or restricts the City's general authority to enforce noncompliance of applicable rules and regulations. The City retains the right to enforce violations of this chapter in accordance with Chapter 1-5 or in accordance with any other legally authorized process, including but not limited to discontinuing service to any customer that commits a violation, infraction, or otherwise fails to comply with the municipal code, any amendments or additions thereto, and any adopted rules or regulations. Prior to the service disconnection, the City shall provide notice to the customer where a violation, infraction, or otherwise noncompliance results, or is likely to result, in a dangerous or unsanitary condition on the customer's premises, or within the City's water system, and where disconnection of service is necessary to protect the City from fraud, imposition, loss or abuse.
