(a) As used in this section:
(1) "False alarm" means: An Alarm Dispatch Request to a law enforcement agency, when the responding law enforcement officer finds no evidence of a criminal offense or attempted criminal offense after having completed a timely investigation of the Alarm Site.
(2) "Calendar quarter" means each of the following three month periods:
January, February, March
April, May, June
July, August, September
October, November, December
(3) "Owner" means the entity in possession of the property.
(b) There is hereby assessed a false alarm response fee of fifty dollars ($50.00) each on all business and industrial property owners within the City for all false alarms beyond three (3) at any single business or industrial property in any calendar quarter. Any false alarm response invoice which is not paid within sixty (60) days of the date of the invoice shall be re-billed monthly thereafter and shall include an additional service charge of fifty dollars ($50.00).
(c) The Chief of Police is hereby directed to forward to the City Treasurer for collection documentation of all false alarm fees at the end of each calendar quarter.
