As used in this chapter, the following terms, phrases, words and their derivations shall have the meanings given herein. When not inconsistent with their context, words used in the present tense include the future, words in the plural number include the singular number, and words in the singular number include the plural number. The word “shall,” where used in this chapter, is always mandatory and not merely directory.
(a) “Building” is a structure designed, built or occupied as a shelter or roofed enclosure for persons, animals or property and used for residential, business, mercantile, storage, commercial, industrial, institutional, assembly, educational or recreational purposes. A structure whose longest side is twelve feet or less in measurement and whose height is not more than twelve feet shall not fall within the regulation of this chapter.
(b) "Building Inspector" means the Building Inspector of the City of Olmsted Falls.
(c) “City” means the City of Olmsted Falls, Ohio.
(d) “Person” is any person, firm, partnership, association, corporation, company or organization of any kind.
(e) “Permit vehicle” means the motor vehicle actually used for the moving of a building under the terms of this chapter.
(f) “Safety Director” means the Safety Director of the City.
