1448.05 DEMOLITION PERMITS.
   (a)   The fee for the demolition of a building or structure is based upon the area of the building or structure, as follows:
 
(1)   Base fee
Residential (1-3 Family)   
$150.00
Commercial(Non 1-3 Family)      
$250.00
(2)   Plus per 1,000 sq. ft.(or part thereof)
$25.00
(b)   Accessory buildings per 500 sq ft (or part thereof)   
$50.00/ea.
 
   (c)   Deposit required: In addition to the above fees, at the time the applicant applies for a demolition permit for any building or structure exceeding 500 square feet, the applicant shall place with the City an eight hundred and fifty dollar ($850.00) cash deposit, which deposit shall be returned to the applicant upon inspection and approval by the Building, Housing and Zoning Administrator. If the removal of all materials, regrading and seeding have not been accomplished within six months after the building has been demolished, then the Building, Housing and Zoning Administrator shall invite bids from any person to accomplish the requirements under this section, and he or she is authorized to apply so much of the deposit as is necessary for payment of the person performing the work.    
   (d)   All demolition materials, other than hard fill at least three feet below grade, shall be removed from the site and the real property regraded and seeded.
   (e)   At the time of application, the applicant must specify when the building will be demolished, where the materials will be hauled, and the measures to be taken to secure the property during the demolition.
